APPLE SQUARE 
Crust:

2 c. flour
3/4 c. Crisco
Dash of salt

Filling:

Sliced apples
1/4 c. flour
Butter
Cinnamon & sugar (to taste)

Crust: For large cookie sheet increase to 3 c. flour and 1 c. Crisco. Mix crust ingredients together. Press onto cookie sheet.

Filling: Place sliced apples on crust 1-inch thick. Mix flour, cinnamon and sugar together. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Dot with butter.

Bake 400°F for 20 minutes. Then bake 350°F until done (when apples are tender). Drizzle with frosting (confectionary sugar and milk). To make a little more fancy place 1/2 marchino cherry on each square.
