CABBAGE 
1 (3-4 lb.) red cabbage (wash & cut up thin)
3 c. water
4 med. apples, peeled & sliced thin
1/2 c., more or less, vinegar
1/2 c., more or less, sugar

Mix all. Bring to a boil. Cook on low until done. Taste the best when reheated.
