DOG BISCUITS | |
1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 c. whole wheat flour 1 c. dry skim milk 1/3 c. quick cooking oats 2 tbsp. wheat germ 1/3 c. vegetable oil 1 lg. egg, beaten 2 beef or chicken bouillon cubes, dissolved in 1 tbsp. hot water 1/2 c. milk Combine all-purpose and whole wheat flours, milk powder, oats, wheat germ, oil, egg, bouillon and milk in a food processor or mixing bowl and process to mix. Form into a ball and knead for 1 minute. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with a biscuit butter. Place 6 biscuits on a 9 to 20 inch plate. Cook on 50 percent power in microwave oven for 6-9 minutes, or until firm. Roll out scraps and continue making biscuits until all dough is used. Cool on wire rack and store in airtight container. Makes about 18 biscuits or 60 nuggets. |
