HAWAIIAN MEATBALLS 
Combine in a large bowl:

1 lb. lean ground beef (may use some pork)
1/2 c. bread crumbs moistened with milk
1 beaten egg
1 clove garlic, pressed or 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. soy sauce

I bake them in a greased pan in a 350 degree oven. Form into 1 inch balls and brown in oil. Remove to serving dish and pour Oriental Sweet sour sauce over all. Serve over boiled rice.

ORIENTAL SWEET SOUR SAUCE:

Make a paste of:

2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. chicken broth
2 tbsp. soy sauce

Set aside. Melt in heavy pan:

2 tbsp. butter

Add:

1 c. chicken broth
3/4 to 1 c. diced green peppers
1/2 lg. can pineapple tidbits

Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Add cornstarch paste and the following ingredients to the peppers and pineapple.

1/2 c. vinegar
3/4 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger

Simmer, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
