HAWAIIAN MEATBALLS (SWEET AND
SOUR)
 
1 (1l b.) can pineapple chunks or tidbits
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/3 c. pineapple juice
1 tsp. minced onion

Mix pineapple with all ingredients listed and shape small meatballs. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees or lightly brown meatballs and drain off fat.

SAUCE:

2/3 c. catsup
2/3 c. cider vinegar
1/3 c. brown sugar

Mix sauce and pour with remaining pineapple chunks and simmer. Add meatballs and heat. For a party - add partially cooked meatballs to sauce in crockpot, simmer half the day or until ready to serve. Double batch 30-32). Makes 15-16 small.
