CHOCOLATE CHEWY SQUARES 
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
2/3 c. butter
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 ready to spread coconut pecan frosting

Mix dry cake mix, butter, and milk together. Spread half of the dough in ungreased rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inch. Bake 6 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Microwave the frosting for 3 minutes. Stir after 1 1/2 minutes. Spread over the chocolate chips. Drop remaining dough by teaspoonfuls onto the frosting, spreading evenly. Bake until cake portion is slightly dry to touch, 15 to 20 minutes longer. Cool completely. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into 2 1/4 x 1 inch bars. Makes 48 bars.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
