CRANBERRY NUT BREAD 
2/3 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. mashed bananas (4)
3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. nuts
1 (1 lb.) can (1 3/4 c.) whole berry cranberry sauce

Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in bananas. Gradually add dry ingredients, which have been sifted together. Stir in nuts; fold in cranberry sauce. Put into greased and floured pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 to 65 minutes.
