THE BEST COOKIES IN THE WORLD 
2 sticks butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. salad oil
1 c. uncooked Quaker oats
1 c. corn flakes, crushed
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, add egg and sugars, mix well. Add flour, alternately with salad oil, then add rest of ingredients. Drop by teaspoons onto cooking sheet. Dip fork in 1/2 cup water and press down on each cookie. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
