BEEF PEPPER STEAK 
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 lb. round steak, cut into thin strips (about 1/8 inch thick)
1 med. onion, thinly sliced
2 green peppers, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. cold water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper

Partially frozen meat is easier to slice.

Preheat oil in electric skillet, uncovered at 325 degrees. Add meat and brown. Remove to serving dish. Add onion and pepper slices to skillet and cook until just tender. Dissolve cornstarch in water and soy sauce. Add sugar, garlic salt, and pepper. Pour into skillet with vegetables, until sauce is thickened and clear. Add meat and cook several minutes longer or until heated through. Serve over hot rice. 4 servings.
