2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 (24 oz.) Nestle's chocolate chips

Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Combine dry ingredients. Set aside. Cream butter and sugars, add eggs and vanilla. Beat until light. Gradually blend in dry mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Allow to stand 2 to 3 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. Makes 3 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies.
