GIANT RAISIN-OATMEAL COOKIES 
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. oat bran
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. reg. rolled oats

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two baking sheets and set aside.

In a medium size bowl, stir together the flour, bran, baking soda and salt. Stir in raisins until well coated and set aside.

In another medium size bowl, cream butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in milk and vanilla. Beat in reserved flour mixture, then stir in oats. Shape dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets. Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon.

Bake 12 to 14 minutes, or until light golden. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes. Using a spatula, remove cookies from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.
