PASTRE DE FRESAS Y MALVAVISCOS 
8 oz. fresh strawberries
10 oz. marshmallows
1 c. milk
1/2 c. whip cream
18 vanilla wafers

Crush the vanilla wafers into very fine crumbs. Grease the gelatin mold with butter and add 1/2 of the crumbs. Dissolve the marshmallows in the milk on a double boiler. Take the mixture off the boiler and let it cool.

Beat the whip cream until it becomes firm. Combine the whip cream and marshmallows into a mixture. Put the mixture on top of the wafers in the gelatin mold. Add the strawberries, by pushing them down into the mixture. Then add the rest of the vanilla wafers by putting it on top of the mixture. Refrigerate for 4 or 5 hours. Serves 6.
