BANANA BREAD 
1 1/2 c. butter
4 1/2 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Grated rind of 2 lemons
3 c. mashed ripe bananas
6 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cream
1 c. nuts (opt.)
1 c. oatmeal (opt.)

Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg, vanilla and lemon rind. Add bananas (if not ripe, mash and refrigerate overnight). Add flour and milk alternately. Bake in greased bread pans at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
