MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. popcorn, popped, put in a clean, brown paper grocery bag
1 stick butter, melted
1/4 c. Karo syrup
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Prepare popcorn, preferably with a hot air popper and put in the grocery bag. Microwave on high the butter, syrup, salt and brown sugar for 1 minute, stir, microwave 2 minutes, stir, microwave 1 1/2 minutes, then add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and stir well. Pour over the popcorn in the bag and shake. Fold down the top of bag and put in the microwave. Microwave 1 1/ minutes, shake, microwave 1 1/2 minutes, shake, microwave 1/2 minute, shake, microwave 1/2 minute, shake. Rip bag open and let cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
