MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN
1 c. unpopped popcorn
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Pop popcorn in popper and place popped popcorn in brown grocery bag. Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt in to microwaveable mixing bowl. Place bowl in microwave and microwave for 2 minutes on high power. Blend ingredients, using a wooden spoon. Place bowl back into microwave and microwave another 2 minutes on high power.

Remove bowl from microwave and working quickly, stir in baking soda using wooden spoon. Stir until mixture looks foamy. Pour mixture into brown paper bag filled with popped popcorn. Close top of brown paper bag and shake for about 1 minute. Place closed brown bag into microwave and microwave for 1 1/2 minutes on power 10. Remove from microwave and shake again.

Open bag and see if all syrup mixture has coated popcorn evenly. If not coated evenly, repeat shaking and checking. Pour into large pan or bowl to cool. Serve and enjoy!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
