APPLE CRISP 
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 unbeaten egg
6 peeled or cored apples or 1 can sliced pie apples
1/3 c. melted butter

Place sliced apples in a greased 9" pie plate. Combine first 5 ingredients together until crumbly. Sprinkle mixture over sliced apples. Pour over all 1/3 cup melted and cooled butter. Sprinkle cinnamon over all and add chopped nuts if desired. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes in 350 degree oven. Good served while warm topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
