RED LIMA SOUP 
1 1/2 c. dry lima beans
6 c. water
2 c. diced tomato
1 c. tomato sauce
1 med. chopped onion
3 cubes beef bouillon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. chili powder

Rinse and sort beans. Soak in 3 cups water overnight. Drain. Place beans, 3 cups water, and all the remaining ingredients in soup pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about 2 hours, until beans are tender. Stir soup often, adding boiling water if needed to reach desired consistency.
