CHEESEBURGER PIE | |
1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell, lightly pricked 1 lb. lean ground beef 1/3 c. chopped green pepper 1/3 c. chopped onion 1 tsp. beef flavor instant bouillon 1 beef bouillon cube 6 slices American cheese, cut into small pieces 2 eggs, well beaten 1/4 c. tomato sauce 1 tbsp. flour 1 (3 oz.) can French fried onions or (optional) Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake pastry shell 8 minutes, remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. In large skillet, brown meat. Pour off excess fat. Add green pepper, chopped onion, and bouillon. Cook and stir until bouillon dissolves; remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients except French fried onions. Turn into prepared shell. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. If desired, top with french fried onions. Bake 3 minutes longer. Refrigerate leftovers. |
