BUTTERSCOTCH YAMS 
6 med. yams, cooked, peeled & quartered or 2 cans (17 oz. each) yams, well drained
1/2 c. Karo light or dark corn syrup
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. heavy cream or half & half
2 tbsp. Mazola butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Arrange yams in single layer in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Bake in 325 degree oven for 15 minutes. In heavy 2 quart saucepan, combine remaining ingredients, stirring constantly. Bring to boil over medium heat and boil 5 minutes. Pour over hams. Bake, basting frequently, 15 minutes longer or until glazed. Makes 6 servings.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: In 3 quart microproof baking dish combine corn syrup, brown sugar, cream, butter, salt and cinnamon. Microwave on high, stirring once, 3 to 4 minutes. Add yams. Toss to coat well. Microwave, basting once, 6 minutes or until glazed.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
