APPLESAUCE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 c. canned applesauce
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter; gradually add sugar, creaming until light. Add eggs, beating well after each. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately to creamed mixture with applesauce. Stir in raisins and nuts. Turn batter into greased and lightly floured 13"x9"x2" pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes or until done.
