COCONUT POUND CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 stick butter
3 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt (1/2 in egg whites, other in flour)
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
1/4 tsp. baking soda (dissolved in 1 tbsp. hot water and add to buttermilk)
1 c. coconut
5 egg whites beaten and folded in
1 c. pecans

Bake in tube pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees for 1 hour more.
