MACAROON PIE 
12 saltine crackers
3/4 c. chopped dates
1 c. sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
3 beaten egg whites
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. almond flavoring

Mix dry ingredients well. Add flavoring to stiffly beaten egg whites. Fold first mixture into egg whites slowly. Bake at 375 degrees until light brown (about 30 minutes). Serve with whipped cream. Can be frozen.
