BURNTSIDE EGGS 
8 slices white bread
8 to 10 eggs
1 can evaporated milk
1 tsp. mustard
1 1/2 lb. pork sausage (or less)
1 can mushrooms, optional
3 to 4 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Saute pork sausage and mushrooms; cool. Line bottom of 9 x 13 pan with broken bread. Mix beaten eggs, milk and mustard; pour on top of bread slices. Layer cooled pork sausage and mushrooms, then layer grated cheese.

Set at least 8 hours or overnight. Top with mushroom soup before baking.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let set at least 10 minutes before serving.
