EASY OVEN FRIED CHICKEN 
1 chicken cut into 8 pieces, or any parts you prefer
3/4 c. cornmeal
Corn oil
1/2 tsp. dried sage
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash and pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Place the cornmeal seasoning and chicken in a strong plastic or paper bag. Close securely and shake until the chicken is well coated. Brush or pour a thin layer of oil in the baking pan. Place the coated chicken parts on the oiled pan. Bake for 1 hour turning once in the course of baking. Serves 4.
