EASY AND BEST GINGER COOKIES 
1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
1/4 cup molasses (Grandma's)
1 egg
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground ginger
2 cups all-purpose flour

Cream shortening and molasses. Add egg. Add in sugar. Add cinnamon, baking soda and ginger. Gradually stir in flour.

Form into small balls and place on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
