COFFEE FLOAT 
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
Dash of salt
1 1/2 tbsp. instant coffee
1 pt. vanilla ice cream
Carbonated water

Combine sugar, water, and salt; simmer 5 minutes. Dissolve coffee in hot liquid. Cool and pour in 4 gall glasses into each glass. Mix tablespoon of ice cream. Fill to top with carbonated water. Slip another scoop of ice cream in each glass and serve.
