1/2 gallon milk 2 tbsp. starter yogurt from a previous batch Bowl with cover blanket or towel Put milk in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil slowly. Remove from heat and pour into bowl with a cover. Let cool until you can put your baby finger in and count to 10 comfortably, about 90 degrees. Add starter and stir and cover. Let stand for 6-8 hours in a warm place until set. Then spoon off excess water and refrigerate. |
