GRANNY'S CHOW MEIN 
2 lb. or 4 c. round steak
1/2 c. butter
3 cans chow mein vegetables
2 sm. cans water chestnuts
Soy sauce
Cornstarch
Chow mein noodles or rice

Cube meat; brown in skillet of melted butter. Drain 1 cup liquid from vegetables.. Mix meat and vegetables in crock pot. Slice water chestnuts and add to pot. Add enough cornstarch to vegetable liquid to slightly thicken. Add this to crockpot mixture. Season with soy sauce. Cook on medium, 4 hours or high, 3 hours. Serve over noodles or rice.
