1 1/2 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped 8 to 10 carrots 4 tbsp. butter, melted 1/4 c. grated lemon peel 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice 2 tsp. honey Freshly ground pepper Put walnuts on cookie sheet into a 350 degree oven for a few minutes until lightly toasted. Cut carrots into sticks and steam until tender. Melt butter in small pan and add all other ingredients except pepper and heat thoroughly. Pour sauce over steamed carrots. Sprinkle walnuts over, pepper and toss lightly. Serves 8. |
