1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix together.

1 lb. dates
1 lb. nuts, pecans and walnuts
1 bottle of maraschino cherries (drained)
4 eggs, beat

Mix first 3 ingredients. Then add dates, nuts and cherries. Add the beaten eggs and pour over all. Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Makes 2 big cakes or 2 small grease the pans good. I usually use a few more cherries and nuts.
