PEPPER STEAK | |
2 lb. sirloin steak 4 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper Dash sage Dash cumin 1 lb. mushrooms 2 med. green peppers 3 med. onion 6 med. tomatoes 6 tbsp. tomato paste 1/2 c. soy sauce 6 tbsp. vinegar Saute beef strips in 1/2 of the butter and oil. Place in baking dish. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, cumin and sage. Toss. Saute mushrooms in remaining butter and oil for 2 minutes. Pour over beef. Saute peppers and onions 1 minute. Add to beef mixture. Combine soy sauce, tomato paste and vinegar in skillet. Heat to boiling. Pour over meat, peppers and onions. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Add tomatoes and bake another 15 minutes. Serve with rice. |
