CHERRY ALMOND BALLS | |
3/4 c. butter 1/3 c. powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1 lg. (16 oz., at least 60 each) container glazed candied cherries Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla and salt until light. Add flour and nuts, mix well. Use a teaspoon of the dough and roll it around the cherry. Place on baking sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool slightly, roll in powdered sugar. Refrigerate. Makes 5 dozen. NOTE: Can use red and/or green candied cherries for Christmas. |
