CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. butter, melted
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
1 c. pecans halves (optional)
Whipped cream (optional)

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl, stir well. Add chocolate morsels and add chopped pecans, stirring well. Pour mixture into pie shell and, if desired, top with pecan halves. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired. Yields one 9 inch pie.
