CINDY'S DOUBLE PECAN CHOCOLATE CHIP PIE | |
1 pie crust 2 lg. eggs 1/2 c. white sugar 2 c. pecan halves 1/2 c. chocolate chips 3/4 c. dark corn syrup 1/4 c. butter, melted Sprinkle chocolate chips over bottom of pie crust and place in the freezer for 10 minutes. In a large bowl with wire whisk or fork, beat eggs, corn syrup, sugar, and butter until well blended. Pour mixture into crust over chocolate chips. Arrange pecan halves into circles on top of the filling. We always place 2 layers of pecans on our pie (they are the lest fattening part). Bake 50-55 minutes in a 350 degree oven until just set. Cool on a wire rack. The chocolate chips add an extra-special flavor for those special occasions. Just remember that the flavor weighs in at 500 calories for each serving. |
