PAT'S PESTO 
2 c. fresh basil
1/2 c. spinach
1/2 c. olive oil
2 tbsp. pine nuts
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
3 tbsp. butter, softened

Put basil, olive oil, pine nuts, garlic and salt in blender at high speed. When evenly blended, pour into bowl and pour in cheese. When cheese is stirred in, beat in softened butter. Before spooning over pasta, add a tbsp. of water that pasta was cooked in. Serve over linguini. Serves 6.
