CANNED SPAGHETTI SAUCE | |
4 lg. onions, chopped 4 clove garlic, minced 2 tbsp oil 24 lg. ripe tomatoes 4 beef broth cubes 8 tsp. basil 2 tsp. salt 4 tsp. oregano 2 (12 oz.) can tomato paste In large kettle, saute onion and garlic in oil until soft. Stir in cored and chopped tomatoes (I use food processer). Cook 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer one hour. Fill quart jars and freeze or process in boiling water bath for 20 minutes. For pizza sauce add green pepper with onion. Fill pint jars. |
