COCONUT POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. coconut flavoring
1 sm. can angel flake coconut

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and continue beating. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Add coconut flavoring. Fold in angel flake coconut.

Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan. Place in COLD oven. Set oven temperature at 325 degrees and bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Cover cake as soon as it is removed from cake pan.
