DUTCH APPLE PIE 
PIE:

8 tart cooking apples
3 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

STREUSEL TOPPING:

3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. butter

PIE: Peel apples and remove core. Slice apples, melt butter in saucepan; add apples and stir until apples are well coated. Add sugar and cinnamon. Stir until apples are well coated. Arrange apples in a pastry lined pan. STREUSEL MIX: Mix flour and cinnamon thoroughly. Stir in brown sugar. Cream butter and work into flour-cinnamon mixture. Sprinkle this crumbly mixture over top of pie. Bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for another 30 minutes. Cool.
