CAESAR SALAD | |
4 bread sticks broken into bite-size pieces 1/2 c. olive oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 head Romaine lettuce 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 egg 3 tbsp. wine vinegar 1 tbsp. capers, chopped & 6 anchovies 1/4 c. grated Romano or Parmesan cheese Soak bread sticks in a mixture 1/4 cup olive oil and garlic. Tear the lettuce into a bowl. Season with the salt and pepper; pour the remaining oil over it and toss to coat lettuce. Break the raw egg into the bowl and toss again. Add the vinegar, anchovies and capers. Toss again. Finally add the cheese and bread sticks. Toss and serve. |
