QUICK HOLIDAY QUICHE | |
1 (9 inch) pie crust 1/2 c. grated cheddar 3/4 c. grated Swiss 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 eggs 1 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt 4 dashed nutmeg Filling of choice: chopped broccoli, bacon and onion, spinach, etc. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cover the bottom of the pie crust generously with a layer of cheddar cheese. Evenly spread a layer of filling, covering the cheddar cheese. Cover entirely with Swiss cheese. Thoroughly mix eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Pour mixture over the quiche making sure to cover the edges. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Test the quiche with a toothpick to determine if it is done. |
