FRUIT COCKTAIL COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 pinch of salt

Cream shortening. Add brown sugar, white sugar, and eggs. Sift flour and add baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Drain and add 1 large can fruit cocktail. (Add a little fruit cocktail juice if too dry.) Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly brown.
