FRUIT NUT COOKIE 
2 1/2 sticks soft butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
6 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. brandy
1 lb. candied cherries, diced
1 lb. candied pineapple, diced
2 1/2 qt. nuts (pecans), chopped

Cream sugar and butter. Add 1 egg at a time. Mix well. Sift flour and spices and add to creamed mixture. Add candied fruits and nuts. Chill for 1 hour. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15 minutes. These can be baked and stored ahead of serving time to ripen like fruit cake.
