SUGAR COOKIES | |
1/2 c. butter - unsalted Land of Lakes 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 3/4 c. plain flour Cream butter and sugar. Add rest and mix. Refrigerate dough several hours or several days. Roll out thin on floured board. Decorate with sugar, etc. Bake at 375 degrees on greased (Pam) cookie sheet until slightly browned edges. Tend to overcook quickly. Remove from pan and cool on racks. Can double recipe or you can use 1 1/2 cups flour and make drop cookies. Store in tin, will keep for weeks in cool room. If you prefer them not browned edged at all just watch first batch and time from that depending on oven and thickness of cookie dough. |
