1 c. butter (2 sticks)
2/3 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar together until very light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Add flour, salt. Mix very well into a creamy mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Bake only 5-8 minutes for a very soft chewy cookie. Makes 6-7 dozen.
