DIANE'S GRILLED ITALIAN SAUSAGE | |
1 (1 lb.) pkg. hot or mild Italian sausage 2 medium to large onions, peeled and sliced 1 red bell pepper, cut into strips Preheat skillet over medium high heat (works best with a cast-iron skillet). Flip sausage every few minutes until golden brown, making sure sausage is cooking thoroughly to an internal temperature of at least 165°F. Remove sausage from skillet leaving all the juices. Put onions and peppers in skillet. Mix until onions are golden brown and tender. Serve on Italian hero bread. Makes 4 servings. Submitted by: Diane Felico |
