1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour

Cream sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in flour. Drop by the tablespoonful 2 1/2" apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Yield about 3 dozen.
