ONION AND GREEN BEAN SALAD 
2 onions, sliced
1 tbsp. sugar
2 pkg. of frozen green beans
5 slices bacon
1/3 c. olive or salad oil
2 tbsp. white vinegar
1/4 tsp. basil (crushed)
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash cayenne pepper

Separate onion slices into rings. Place in bowl, sprinkle with sugar. Cook beans, drain, cool, toss with onion rings. Chill for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Cook bacon, crumble and reserve.

At serving time, combine oil and remaining ingredients, mix well. Pour over salad and add bacon.
