BUTTER FROSTING 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
confectioners' sugar
milk
vanilla

Mix butter and Crisco. Add 1 cup 10X (confectioners' sugar and beat slowly. Add another cup of confectioners' sugar and speed up. Add 1 more cup of confectioners' sugar.

Flavor the frosting with 1 tablespoon of pure vanilla. Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time until it is of the consistency of what you need to frost a cake with. Recipe frosts 2 large cakes or a classroom full of cupcakes.
