OATMEAL COFFEE CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
1 stick butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Pour boiling water over oats and butter. Let stand 20 minutes. Add rest of ingredients and blend well. Pour into greased and floured 8 x 16 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
1/4 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
1/2-1 c. chopped pecans

Mix all ingredients. Heat over low heat until well mixed and sugar melts. Spread over warm cake and place under broiler for 2-3 minutes.
