CORN BREAD 
4 c. flour
2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. baking powder
4 eggs
3 c. milk
2 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. melted butter

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Lightly oil, 2 x 12 x 8 inch pan.

3. Sift together flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder.

4. In separate bowl mix together eggs, milk and oil.

5. Pour wet ingredients over dry, then add melted butter. Stir until just mixed.

6. Bake about 1 hour or until cake tester comes out clean. Corn bread should be brown on top when done.

7. Makes 12 thick pieces.

8. Makes approximately 2 dozen corn muffins, follow above except use cupcake liners and cook about 15 to 20 minutes.
